Ascoilemore: a ruin where once stood a small clachan, a short distance W of Ascoile.
Name Book 1871.
Footings of c.7 buildings 8.5m by 4m to 37m by 4m, enclosures and kiln.
Visited by OS (RDL) 28 April 1964.
A township, comprising one unroofed building, three enclosures and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1879, sheet lxxxviii). Four unroofed buildings, one enclosure and part of the head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1969).
