Full Description

Centred on NH 725 931 within an area of contemporary stone clearance heaps is a settlement of three oval stone-walled huts (A-C), a cairn and an enclosure.
'A' measures 12.5m ESE-WNW by 11.0m between centres of a wall spread to 3.0m. Entrance in the ESE.
'B' measures 11.0m E-W by 9.0m between wall centres. The S side of the entrance in the E incorporates a rock outcrop.
'C' measures 12.5m ESE-WNW by 10.5m between wall centres. Entrance in the ESE. A hollow 2.5m in diameter quarried in the S arc has houses a dry-stone structure contemporary with a nearby depopulated settlement.
The cairn, occupying a conspicious position, measures 7.5m in diameter by 0.6m high and appears relatively undisturbed. It is edged by a kerb of contiguous boulders particularly well-preserved in the S.
The enclosure lies adjacent to and downslope from the cairn to the WNW and measures 9.0m N-S by 8.3m between centres of a wall partially obscured by peat and spread to a maximum of 1.0m. The interior does not seem to have been levelled and no entrance is evident. There is nothing to indicate that the enclosure is not contemporary with the settlement and cairn but its purpose is uncertain. It is not a hut.
Surveyed at 1:2500.
