(NH 7548 9138) Cairns (NR) (2 shown) OS 6" map, (1959)
At Dalchiel, on a piece of waste land between the road and the River Evelix, is a small mound with traces of circular enclosures in its vicinity. RCAHMS 1911, visited 1909.

No trace of the published cairns could be found in an area of natural hummocks and surface quarrying.
A few mounds at NH 753 915, possibly due to quarrying, may be what the RCAHMS have seen. One or two roughly circular depressions nearby appear to be natural.
Visited by OS (R L) 4 November 1969.
