Full Description

A hut circle accompanied by field clearance heaps, one of which lies on the wall of the hut.
Visited by OS (A A) 8 June 1971.

The solitary stone-walled hut is oval, measuring 11.5m NW-SE by 10.5m internally, within a low, tumbled wall spread to 2.0m. The entrance of simple form is in the SE arc. The hut occurs within a small but well-preserved field system occupying a hectare of level moorland. It is comprised mainly of stone clearance heaps, one of which lies on the hut wall, and occasional lynchets, delineating cultivation plots, average size 25.0m by 15.0m.
