Full Description
NC50NE 71 5855 0840.
At NC 5855 0841 and NC 5856 0839, on a spur in an area of rough grassland, are two stone-walled hut circles of similar form (A and B respectively). They measure 12.0m (A) and 11.0m (B) internal diameter, within a wall generally spread to 2.5m broad, but severely denuded and overlaid by later field walls. The entrance to A is visible as a gap in the SE; the SE are of hut B is destroyed but presumably the entrance was in this quarter. In the vicinity are several stone clearance heaps, but the land has been re-used and no field pattern is discernible.
Surveyed at 1:10,000.
Visited by OS (N K B) 27 August 1976.
