Full Description
NC45NW 10 4268 5599.
NC 4270 5600. A standing stone, 35ins high and 30ins broad, varying in thickness from 7 1/3 ins to 4ins, stands 23ft NE of one of the stone heaps of the complex NC45NW . A boulder 15ins long and 8 ins broad has been used to wedge the stone upright and a mound of possible cairn material extends for a distance of about 30 ft from the stone. Information contained in letter and field notes from K Reid 25 September 1978.
NC 4268 5599. An upright stone of insignificant proportions situated in a small sheltered valley. The alleged cairn is a natural heather-covered hillock, its form accentuated by drainage channels on either side of it. Surveyed at 1:10,000.
