Full Description

NC45NW 6 4466 5795.

(Centred NC 4463 5795) Site of chapel.
Information from Dr C S Sandeman, Durness, 2 March 1959.

No further evidence regarding this alleged chapel was gained during fieldwork. The building on the supposed site, though orientated roughly E-W, has no architectural features suggestive of a chapel, and is evidently a comparatively modern store for fishing gear etc. Visited by OS (A C) 3 June 1959.

According to the occupier at Kempie, the fishing store at NC 4466 5795 was built within the last fifty years on the site of a chapel of which nothing remains.
Visited by OS (N K B) 8 November 1978.
