The remains of a sub-circular enclosure or possible hut circle. It consists of an earth-and-stone bank spread to a width of 2.2m with a maximum height of 0.8m measures 12.1m N-S by 13.8m transversely. There is an entrance 1.3m wide and flanking banks of earth-and-stone on either side for a distance of 3.2m in the SE segment, forming a short entrance passage.
Visited by OS (W D J) 21 April 1960.
This is a hut circle, generally as described by the previous investigator. The internal wall face of upright slabs is generally well-defined, but wall debris has disappeared from the N arc. There are some field clearance heaps in the vicinity (see also NC46SE 3).
Revised at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (N K B) 28 November 1978.
