Full Description

Cairn (NR) OS 6" map, Sutherlandshire, 2nd ed., (1908)

An oval mound whose longest axis lies NW and SE. Its diameter is 83ft by 54ft with height of c 6ft and it is entirely covered with turf. Its artificial character is doubtful, though the SE end of it has more appearance of a sepulchral cairn than the remainder.
RCAHMS 1911.

This very natural looking mound shows some stones protruding here and there. There is no evidence of cist or chamber.
Visited by OS (W D J) 25 June 1963.

This is not a cairn but a natural knoll. Living rock protrudes through the turf towards its summit. Similar features oriented NW-SE occur along the ridge.
Visited by OS (N K B) 13 August 1976.
