The two features are situated in the bottom of a valley. The first, at NC 3850 6780, is undoubtedly a hut circle; the second, at the given location, is a fortuitous arrangement of loose stone and natural scarping. The hut is turf-covered, and measures about 8.5m in diameter within a wall spread to 3.0m and 0.4m in average height. No entrance is visible. The E side is overlaid by a later turf-covered wall. Except for a couple of clearance heaps there is no trace of contemporary cultivation in the vicinity.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J B) 27 November 1978.

Substantial subcircular structure with internal diameter of 6.7 m. Defined by low turf-covered stone bank, spread to 2 m wide. Bank has inner and outer skin of stone but the gap between is turfed so no visible rubble core. No obvious entrance or internal features. The S quadrant may have some revetment facing the marshy area to S, but partly obscured by grass and bracken. Dyke 110 runs along the E edge of the structure. On the NE side of the dyke is a low turf-covered (with some stone protruding) curving bank which seems associated with 111. This may enclose a small yard measuring 7.7 m N/S x 4.2 m (externally), with banks spread to 1 m wide. Possible entrance to yard at the S side.
The structure is fairly monumental in character, with a number of large boulders used in its construction.

On edge of natural ampitheatre of Hakon's Bowl, with ground rising sharply to 40 m at N, W and E. Overlooks marshy base of bowl to S.
