Still lies beside road in arable field, substantial eathwork. Obviously disturbed in places. Odd tree growing on it - HAW 7/2004

Chambered Cairn (NR) OS 1:10,000 map, (1970)
A chambered Cairn of the Orkney-Cromarty type with a rectangular chamber. The cairn, which has been partially removed, is composed of large, water-worn pebbles and is covered with turf. When the site was visited a tree had been recently uprooted between the two sets of stones near the northern perimeter, and showed cairn material. There was no sign of a passage.
The dimensions of the cairn are about 80ft by 65ft with the chamber oriented along the main axis which lies NNE-SSW.

The remains of this cairn are generally as described above. The cairn is 22m NNE-SSW by 19.7m ESE-WNW and its maximum height is 1.5m.
Surveyed at 1:2500. Visited by OS (R D L) 28 June 1963.
