Field System (NR) OS 25"map, (1968)

(NC 598 046) Tumuli (NR) (covering area circa 370m NE-SW by circa 150m). OS 6"map, Sutherlandshire, 1st ed., (1874)

Field clearance heaps, frequently occurring in alignment as though alongside cultivation strips. Those on the north have been removed by cultivation.
RCAHMS 1911, visited 1909; Visited by OS (R D L) 7 July 1963.

A stone-walled hut circle in association with the field system, was found at NC 5982 0457. The field system, occupying four hectares, comprises scattered stone clearance heaps and occasional ill-defined lynchets fringing cleared ground, but no measurable plots are discernible.
The hut, severely reduced and peat-covered is about 11.0m N-S by 10.0m internally; the wall has a spread of 1.5m that increases to 2.0m at the entrance, slightly clubbed in the C.
Surveyed at 1:2500 and 1:10,000.
