NC51NW 23 5133 1765

A hut-circle and burnt mound (NC51NW 26) are set amongst an extensive area of small cairns on a gentle SW-facing slope. The hut-circle (NC 5133 1765) measures 7m by 6m internally with stone walling spreading up to 1.6m and standing up to 0.5m high on the outside. An arc of outer facing stones is well preserved to the W. The entrance is to the SSE. The cairns extend c100m to the SE and c50m to the NNW of the hut-circle. To the N a further small cairnfield lies about 30m NW of an old field boundary, just below the crest of the hill and extends about 100m SE of the recent plantation.
