Full Description

NC50SE 48 5978 0460 and 5985 0457.

At NC 5978 0460, prominently situated on a false crest, and within a field system (NC50SE 28) is a turf-covered cairn, partially robbed, which measures 9.0m in diameter and 0.8m high. On the north arc are two contiguous slabs on edge, protruding 0.15m above the turf, which appear to be of a retaining kerb.
Surveyed at 1:10 000 and 1:2500.
Visited by OS (J M) 4 August 1976.

There is another cairn at NC 5985 0457. It is a regularly defined, turf-covered, stony mound 7.0m in diameter and 0.5m high, on a change of slope overlooking an even expanse of N-facing hillside.
