Culaig Hotel (NAT) (Lochinver House (NAT) on OS 6" 1878) OS 6"map, Sutherland, 2nd ed., (1907)

The Culaig Hotel was previously a residence of the Duke of Sutherland and is built on the site of Lochinver House, a mansion of the Macdonald of Lochinver, which was destroyed by fire a few years ago.

'Culag' (current spelling) Hotel is 19th century with later additions. No evidence of an earlier building on the site was seen.
