Full Description

NC13SE 7 1665 3324.

At NC 1665 3324 on either side of a small point, large quantities of iron slag are visible in the shore line. There are no indications of structures in the immediate vicinity.

No change to the previous field report.
Visited by OS (J B) 14 August 1980.

Visited by the Assynt's Hidden Lives Project in December 2009. Quantities of slag can be seen at this point, as noted in previous records, perhaps related to a bloomery. <1>
