Full Description

A large, pear-shaped lamp, possibly of steatite, found at Culkein (NC 1133) was donated to the NMAS by H MacDonald, Culkein, 1967-8. Proc Soc Antiq Scot 1969.

The finder's sister pointed out the find spot of this lamp at approximately NC 1133 3368. It was found built into a modern dyke which has now been partially demolished.
Visited by OS (J M) 6 August 1974.
