Full Description

NC60SE 14 6881 0318.

Near the top of the ridge SE from Rossal on a hill known as Cnoc Righ Shonaidh is a mound about 23ft in diameter by 3ft high. The remains of an outline of boulders, 2ft to 3ft long and 1ft to 2ft high, is apparent on its circumference towards the south and west.
RCAHMS 1911, visited 1909.

Apparent stone clearance heap.
Visited by OS (W D J) 5 July 1963.

At NC 6881 0318, in an eminent position in a hut circle - associated field system, is a cairn, probably not seen by previous OS investigator. It measures 6m in diameter by 0.6m high and is mainly turf-covered. Along the south periphery three earthfast slabs, the largest 1.1m long and 0.4m high, plainly denote a kerb.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J M) 26 September 1980.
