Full Description

NC53NW 4 5175 3726 and 5169 3717.

At NC 5175 3726 and NC 5169 3717, on a moorland rise, are two hut circles (A and B respectively) accompanied by a minor field system.
'A', on the crown of the rise, is heavily peat-silted. It measures approximately 8.5m by 5.0m within a wall reduced to an obscure rubble spread except in the sides of a well-defined entrance position from the ESE on the line of the long axis, where a 3.0m broad by 0.2m high rubble spread is quite marked.
'B', on a spur at the foot of the rise, survives as a turf- covered platform with some peripheral stone. It measures about 12.0m by 10.0m. An entrance position is just discernible in the ESE on the line of the long axis.
The minor field system is denoted in mounds of stone clearance, five to ten metres apart in the region of hut 'A', less numerous elsewhere. Well-spaced single stones protruding through the peat suggest the line of a sinuous wall. There are no discernible plots.
Surveyed at 1:10,000.
