There is just one hut circle situated on a natural shelf at NC 5557 5888, and accompanied by field clearance. It measures 6.5m internal diameter and has an entrance in the ESE quarter; the wall, substantially of bare stone, stands 0.4m high and is spread 2.0 to 2.5m broad. Associated land use is denoted in linear field clearance along the bottom of the gentle down-slope to the south-east; but no plots are discernible. Perambulation of the area failed to establish the whereabouts of Welsh's second hut circle.
