Full Description

At NC 6783 4285, on high, SE facing shelving moorland, is a hut circle accompanied by a minor field system. The hut is levelled into a slight slope, and measures overall 11.5 by 10.5m; an entrance is in the SE, the line of the long axis. The wall is reduced and heather covered, and the only stone apparent is from some disturbance in the NW exterior. On the outside in the E arc the hut stands 0.8m high. The field system is distinguished by stone clearance heaps spaced from 15 to 30m apart along the slopes and dry rises NW of the hut; measurable cultivation plots are not evident.
Surveyed at 1:10 000. Visited by OS (J M) 26 July 1978.
