Fragments of iron slag are reported to have been seen near Loch Slaim (NC 624 535)
D W Kemp 1887; Information from H M Cadell, Geological survey to OS.

No trace of iron slag was seen in the area which is blanketed by peat and heather.
Visited by OS (J B) 6 September 1978.
