Full Description

NC55SE 24 5962 5275 and 5945 5266.

At NC 5962 5275 and NC 5945 5266 on a south-facing spur are two hut circles (A and B) accompanied by a small field system. Both huts are set in the slope and heather-covered.
'A' measures 8.5m diameter internally and has an entrance in the south; the wall is spread from 1.5 to 2.0m and stands at its highest 0.4m.
'B' measures 10.5 diameter within a wall best preserved in the north half where it is spread to 2.0m and stands to 0.4m high; the entrance position is not evident. A faint footing, 6.0 by 4.0m, occupies the south half of the hut.
The field system is denoted in stone clearance heaps spaced from 10.0 to 20.0m apart and in one or two vague lynchets; a plot 15.0 by 12.0m was noted. An abandoned 18/19th century head bank crosses the south-west extent of the field system.
Surveyed at 1:10 000.
