Full Description

NC60SE 18 6738 0493.

At NC 6738 0493, on a hill summit, is a turf-covered round cairn, 0.4m high and 7.7m across, bounded by a slightly angular kerb of close-set stones graduted from smallest in the NNW to the largest in ESE. In the central area an embedded slab, 1.0m broad by 0.35m thick, exposed to 0.8m in length, is a possible cap-stone.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J M) 9 October 1980.

This cairn occupies summit of hill about 600m N of Muie. It stands 0.4m high and measures 7.8m in diameter over a kerb of orthostats which are tallest on the ESE, graduating down to the shortest on NNW, as described by OS surveyor (1980), but it should be noted that the kerb is missing on WNW. In centre there is a rectangular depression from which there protrudes a slab 1m broad.
