Full Description

NC61SE 4 696 130.

Centre on NC 696 130, along the bottom south facing slopes of a hillside overlooking Loch Na Gaineimh, is a settlement of six hut circles (A-F) and an accompanying minor field system. The latter is evident in a number of heaps of field clearance occasionally interspersed with trace of lynchets; no measurable plots are discernible. The huts are oval in shape, heather-blanketed and the walls collapsed; entrances are from the south east quarter on the line of the main axis in all instances. Huts A-E measure from 6.5 by 5.5m to 7.5 by 6.5m within wall spreads of 2.0m and 0.2m high; hut F measures 10.5 by 9.0m inside a wall spread of 2.0m and 0.2m high.
Surveyed at 1:10000.
Visited by OS (J M) 12 May 1981.
