The farmstead of Midpenny comprises a group of turf-covered buildings and enclosures. The most recent of the buildings still stands up to 1.7m in height but the rest are reduced to turf-covered footings from 0.2m to 0.3m in height. The banks of the enclosures are more substantial, standing 0.5m high, but there are also traces of other banks too indefinite and fragmentary to survey.
