Full Description

Centred at NC 540 003 is a settlement of four circular stone walled hut-circles ('A'-'D') and a contemporary field system marked by stone clearance heaps and lynchets.
'A', set into the SW-facing slope, measures 11.0m in diameter between the centres of an ill-defined wall with an entrance gap in the SE.
'B' is about 13.0m in diameter between the centres of a heavily mutilated wall with no entrance evident.
'C' is 13.0m between the centres of a virtually destroyed wall surviving as a slight ridge showing a few stones, best preserved in the W. No entrance is evident.
'D' is 12.5m in diameter between the centres of an ill-defined wall with an entrance gap in the SE. Inside and outside the NE arc lie quantities of iron slag mixed in with the soil. A sandstone spindlewhorl was picked up from a mole hill about 6.0m N of the hut and presented to Inverness Museum.
Surveyed at 1:10,560.
Visited by OS (A A) 25 September 1974.
