(NC 1648 4295) Enclosure (NR)
OS 6"map, (1968)

On the E-facing slop at the side of a knoll is a roughly circular enclosure average diameter 13 m. The earth bank, with a very small stone content, has an average height of 0.6 m. There is an entrance in the E; the interior is not level, suggesting that this was never a building but probably an old stock enclosure.
Visited by OS (F R H) 25 June 1962; Visible on RAF air photographs 106G. Scot. UK76: 4414-5, flown 1946.

This enclosure has been almost entirely obliterated by roadworks and only amorphous traces of the W arc remain. It is no longer possible to determine its age and purpose.
Revised at 1:10560.
Visited by OS (N K B) 15 July 1980.
