Full Description

There was a chapel dedicated to St David at Dorrerie in Spittal parish (Spittal: ND1654) besides that known as 'Gavin's Kirk', Dorrery, Halkirk (see ND05SE 5).
(Spiittal parish was combined with Halkirk and Skinnet parishes in 16th century.)
H Scott et al 1915-61.

Gavin's Kirk occurs at ND 0773 5469 in parish of Halkirk, some 9kms from Spittal (see ND05SE 5). There is no local knowledge of a St David's Chapel at either location.
Visited by OS (N K B) 17 March 1982.
