Full Description

An inhumation of a young female weathered out of a narrow sandy shelf on the shore at Clardon Haven at the foot of a cliff where there is an earthwork (? ND16NE 7). The remains were in a dug grave, lying on the back, with head to the south and unaccompanied by grave goods.
J Saxon 1978.

Mr Saxon identified the find spot as being at ND 1580 6987 below the fort (ND16NE 7) on the NE side.
