Full Description

A copper-alloy flat axe, found c 1980 above Stromecarronach, by Lochcarron. It is 140mm long by 67mm at the widest point by 10mm at the thickest point. Surface is worn and pitted. <1> <2>

Further details about this axehead were submitted by a visitor to the HER website. This copper alloy flat axehead was discovered by the side of a forest track in August 1981. It is 140mm long x 67mm at its widest point x 10mm at its thickest. The surface is worn and pitted. It is currently at Inverness museum. <3>

This find spot was noted in ARCH's Heritage Along the Kyle Line project in 2012. <4>

Duplicate records were brought to the attention of the HET and were amended accordingly.
