Full Description

NH72NE 9 7770 2537.

Some 15m S of an old limekiln is a boulder bearing two deep cup-like marks, and two other incomplete ones. Probably due to weathering.
Visited by OS (AA) 14 January 1972.

There is a disused pit at NH783 262 approximately half a kilometer to the NE that could be the source of the limestone. The site is marked as a hut circle on the Explorer OS map. <1>
