Full Description

A circular, flat topped mound with relatively steep sides (c.30 degrees) which has the appearance of being man-made.
Information from G.F.Moncur, 6/11/92 (letter and sketch plan in Ass. Docs.)

A sandy mound, 10-12m in diameter and 1m in height, with a number of trees growing out of it. One of several hillocks in the immediate vicinity, but this one has a distinct saucer-like profile. It is possibly the result of activity during the building of the railway, but more likely to be natural.
Visited by Dorothy Low, 18/11/92
