Achleanan: this settlement was on the site of the present farm buildings, with another group of houses at NM 557 546, comprising some 13 buildings in all. Occupied by 1755 and continuously till the present day. Cleared c. 1840.

A farmstead comprising two unroofed buildings, one of which has three compartments, two roofed buildings, each of which have two attached enclosures, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1875, sheet xxxix). One unroofed, two roofed buildings and three enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1976).
