9 August 1976. A new wreck was located at 57 41 58N, 003 51 05W, and fixed by moray firth hi-fix(u)chain patt1 176.31 patt2 155.00 and decca n.scot.chain(u)red i04.98 green a39.12 purple a70.78. The site was examined by close sounding, side scan sonar and transit sonar. The least depth over the wreck by echosounder was 27.0 metres. The general depth of the sea bed by echosounder was 29.0 metres. A scour, water depth by echosounder 29.8 metres, was also observed. The sea bed is of broken shell and fine sand. The depth datum was taken from Burghead or 2.10 metres below Ordnance Datum. The wreck lies with its keel orientated approximately 090/270 degrees and is about 40 metres long. The site was located during sonar search from one direction only on 30 June 1975 and was examined on 23 July 1975.
