Full Description

NH 9362 1642

A rounded square enclosure 20m wide was recorded in woodland to the S of a large field. It is aligned N/S and E/W. The entrance was on the E and c1m wide. The walls survive 0.2m high spread over 1m. Field clearance stones have been dumped in the NW corner of this feature. There were no structures seen associated with this enclosure, though extensive stone dumping might have hidden this.
It is not known what this was used for. It might have been a small sheep fold or a kailyard attached to a now vanished house.
