Full Description

A well-built and well-maintained pier, oriented NE-SW, is situated on the N side of Kentra Bay, 1km SE of Ardtoe. The SE vertical face is edged with large stone blocks and the NW side slopes down to the shore. The surface of the pier, 5.50m wide, is cobbled with smaller stones, among which are numerous examples of drill-marks, left by feather and plug quarrying. The pier is still in use by local fishermen.
