Full Description

Hut circle visible as a platform about 9.5m in diameter set into a W-facing slope. The entrance is not evident. Heavy peat covering probably hides any walling. There is no trace of contemporary cultivation.
About 15m to NW are footings of a shieling measuring 2.5 by 2m.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (I S S) 11 April 1972

(ND 2598 4555) Hut Circle (NR) OS 1:10,000 map, (1975)

This is very unlikely to be a hut circle as the position is in a poorly drained area. The feature is probably the fortuitous silting-up of a natural hollow.
Visited by OS (J M) 8 December 1982.
