Full Description
For (new) boathouses at NM 6979 4654, see NM64NE 45. For Ardtornish House or Tower (NM 7033 4753) and related buildings, see NM74NW 13.
On the shore of Loch Aline, S of the mansion house, first the broad-eaved Old Boathouse built of rough ashlar in 1852-3. T-plan with Gothic windows and a pointed-arch boat entrance. It was too high up the loch for its purpose and was superseded later in the 19th century by the boathouse to the S (NM64NE 45).
