A large farmstead which is divided into two by a burn comprising two roofed long buildings, one of which has two outshots, three unroofed buildings, of which one is a long building of three compartments, and four enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet x). Four roofed buildings are shown to the N of the burn on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1969).
