This township comprises eighty-three roofed and two unroofed buildings as depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1878, sheet x). Forty-five roofed and thirty-three unroofed buildings are shown on the current OS 1:10,560 map (1962)

This township was noted during a DBA and walkover survey by S Farrell in 2010b in advance of a proposed woodland scheme. Walkover revealed the area of proposed forestry ison a steep slope overlooking the township, with at least three ruined buildings and walls being visible outside the existing fence line. No recommendations were made as the site was outwith the boundary of the scheme. <1>
