Full Description

A sandstone disc from Stemster (ND 17 62) is included among examples of possibly Pictish decoration. It is 2ins in diameter and bears, incised on one face, a spirally coiled snake whose head intrudes into a border of about twelve dimples. The other face bears a confused curvilinear design. The disc is in the NMAS (Acc. No BG 245).
