(NM 7947 4389) Eignaig: no certain early remains, settlement shown on Argyll estate plans, 1770, on the site of the present cottage, built in 1864.

Three unroofed buildings, one roofed T-shaped building, three enclosures and a length of field wall are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1875, sheet lxxi). One unroofed, two roofed buildings and three incomplete enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
