Full Description

Cairn (NR). OS 6" map, (1959)

The indefinite remains of several constructions, probably shielings, situated on a green knoll. They appear to have been small oblong buildings with two or three chambers. One more indefinite than the rest measures interiorly 16' by 7'.
RCAHMS 1911, visited 1910.

A grassy mound measuring 30m by 17m and 1m high, surmounted by vague traces of rectangular structures, and, as stated by the RCAHMS, are probably shielings.
Visited by OS (I S S) 11 April 1972.
