A Long 1996
On the beach, close to the mouth of the River Kirkaig a stone feature comprising a pile of stones, sub-rectangular in shape, 4m x 2m x 0.4m and aligned N-S. The piled stones have been deliberately placed and may represent the remains of a boat noost, although the location would not easily support this interpretation. Approximately 1m to the south-east there two lines of three stones c.0.3m apart and c.0.75m long which may form part of some sort of setting, resembling a hearth. The function of these features is not clear.
