A small township comprising three unroofed buildings, one of which is a long building, and an enclosure, all lying within an area of cultivation is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxiii). A two compartment enclosure and a sheepfold are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1976).
