Centred on 554 128

A township comprising one roofed and seventeen unroofed buildings, two of which have two compartments, some field walls and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1878, sheet lxxxv). Five roofed buildings, including Shinness Hall, and some field walls are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1992).
