Inverbrora steading
This steading was surveyed before demolition in 1996. It was originally a U-plan layout dating from the 1820s. It had a later (probably mid-19th century), central range consisting of a feed store with dovecot in the gable at the front and the byre/ open shelter sheds behind, creating an 'E' layout. Behind the barn was a waterwheel (not the wheel house shown on Loch's plan). There were covered later cattle courts.
J Loch, 1820.
Visted by RCAHMS (GJD), July 1994 and August 1995; see NMJRS MS744/96.
