Full Description

Longhouse (ND 2240 5870), 'Auckengill'. Roofed farm still in occupation, with a linear arrangement of buildings.

Three roofed buildings, a mill lend and a sluice are depicted on the first edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xviii). Three roofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,000 map (1994).
