Longhouse (ND 2120 5953), 'Gillock'. Dimensions: 12 x 7m. Rectangular structure with a slab-tiled roof and modern structures attached to the S end and E wall. Orientation N-S.

The village of Gillock is depicted as three roofed buildings (one of which is a smithy at ND 2123 5946) on the first edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheets xii & xviii) although the name was applied to what is now Gillock Mains Farm to the S. The village is shown as nine roofed buildings on the current edition of the OS 1:10,000 map (1994).
